Tracking an Estuarine Crocodile in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
On July 13, 2005, a 4.2m male Crocodylus porosus was captured in the Adelaide River, 100km east of Darwin. A satellite transmitter was attached to it in an attempt to better understand any movement patterns it may exhibit. The crocodile was affectionately named "Sputnik".
